The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer specializing in Site Reliability to join our distributed team. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining our robust cloud infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of SRE principles, distributed systems, and modern cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Kubernetes and Terraform.
  • Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Write automation tools and scripts in Python or Go to improve operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure reliability and performance of applications.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems.
  • Contribute to the overall architecture and design of our SRE practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar role.
  • Proven experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Strong experience with monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Go).
  • Solid understanding of networking, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
