Summary

• Adds a self-contained scientific-artifact-hosting MVP module for issue #14.
• Implements artifact manifests, deterministic type detection, folder/version summaries, dataset diffing, FAIR compliance checks, metadata exports, and executable environment readiness checks.
• Adds a local API, CLI demo, sample project, requirement map, Node test coverage, and a short demo video.

Run from scientific-artifact-hosting:

npm run check

This runs the Node test suite and the CLI demo. The local API can also be started with:

npm run start

Verification

• npm test - 6 tests passing
• npm run demo - prints manifest, FAIR score, dataset diff, environment readiness, and metadata export output
• npm run check - passes
• git diff --check - passes

Notes

• Credential-free and dependency-free MVP; no external storage, DOI, container, or cloud APIs are required.
• AI-assisted contribution prepared with Codex and locally verified before submission.
• Contributes to #14.
