Maintainer Summary

This PR is a narrow, mergeable author-rebuttal slice for the AI-Powered Research Assistant Suite bounty. It does not compete with the broad assistant, protocol trace, statistics review, or gap-discovery attempts; it covers the post-review workflow where authors turn reviewer findings into response rows, revision tasks, evidence requests, and editor-facing readiness signals.

Why it can merge independently:

• Self-contained under research-rebuttal-response-pack/
• Synthetic sample data only; no credentials, external APIs, private research data, or network calls
• No shared runtime assumptions or unrelated repo changes
• Maintainer edits enabled
• Includes the required demo artifact and local validation evidence

Summary

• Adds a self-contained research-rebuttal-response-pack module for author rebuttal and revision planning.
• Converts reviewer findings into response rows with concern topics, response strategy, revision tasks, evidence requests, unresolved-risk flags, and readiness scoring.
• Clusters reviewer concerns and exports an editor-facing summary for resubmission decisions.
• Includes synthetic sample data, requirement mapping, tests, CLI demo, SVG, and short MP4 demo.

What Is Distinct From Other Attempts

This is not another broad assistant suite, protocol/evidence trace packet, reviewer calibration bench, redline packet, research-gap replication planner, uncertainty calibration assistant, disclosure checker, or citation/retraction sentinel.

The specific gap covered here is the rebuttal and revision-control workflow after review: mapping reviewer concerns to author responses, requested evidence, revision tasks, unresolved risks, readiness score, and editor-facing resubmission summary.
