I initially considered using Whisper AI for audio-to-text conversion. However, during my research, I came across ONNX, a tool designed to optimize AI models for different hardware. This caught my interest, so I spent my free time understanding how it works and whether it could improve this feature.
While ONNX offers significant performance optimizations, I found it quite complex, especially given my current knowledge level—I’ve only recently started learning about AI. Despite that, I gathered some key insights into how ONNX works and how it might be beneficial for this project.
ONNX is a framework that optimizes AI models based on the hardware they run on. This raised a key question for me: Should I build this feature with ONNX, or stick to Whisper AI without additional optimizations? I’m still exploring this decision and would appreciate any insights.
